  1. Thank you all for your comments. Much appreciated. Mary, all images taken in the Lake District National Park, in the North-west corner of England. I am very lucky in that I live just on the edge of the park and spend as much time as possible there enjoying the beautiful scenery. Hope things are now better for you. M
  2. Enjoy your time from work, Igor. M
  3. New slideshow. More or less what it says on the tin. A few images taken during my wanderings. 16:10 Res. Link: https://www.slideshowclub.com/files/file/586-on-foot-with-a-camera/ Maureen
  4. Orkney is an archipelago off the north-east coast of Scotland. We had a fairly brief stay on Mainland, the largest island including Skara Brae, a Neolithic settlement on the west coast of Mainland, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Amongst places visited were Scapa Flow and ancient Standing Stones sites. https://www.slideshowclub.com/files/file/579-orkney/ Maureen
  5. Prior to our customary autumn visit to the Scottish Highlands, we decided to take a look at some of the fishing ports and villages on Scotland's East Coast between St Andrews and Inverness. https://www.slideshowclub.com/files/file/578-scotland -the-forth-to-moray-firth Maureen
  6. More holiday snaps from the southern counties of Britain, this time Devon and Dorset with, perhaps, a few 'strays' from the neighbouring county of Somerset. Res: 1920x1200. https://www.slideshowclub.com/files/file/574-a-taste-of-devon-and-dorset/ Maureen
  7. Well Gary, I did enjoy watching that, all of which is very familiar to me. Wow! What a road trip - you won't get much better than that. I was envious of your weather at Duncansby Head as we were there earlier this year on our way to Orkney and were almost blown off as the wind was so strong and the light too dismal for any decent photos. You certainly seemed to sample plenty of good old British fare judging by your plates wherever you ate. Maureen
  8. Simple slideshow of holiday pics taken on a couple of visits to Cornwall, although I suspect there may be a couple of 'strays' from the neighbouring county of Devon. Cornwall was the setting for the novels of Daphne du Maurier, also the popular TV series of Poldark and Doc Martin. Res: 1920x1200. https://slideshowclub.com/files/file/573-cornwall/
  9. Thanks to all for kind comments. I must try to get my act together again.
  10. An expedition cruise to Greenland summer 2018. This has been sitting unfinished on my PC for the last 12 months until a period of enforced inactivity spurred me on to finish it. http://www.slideshowclub.com/files/file/570-land-of-the-inuit/
  11. Agree with all you say, Lin. Sometimes I just can't believe what is happening. It sometimes seems the world has gone stark raving bonkers. Nevertheless, wishing everybody especially Igor and his team, a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2019. Maureen
  12. I've never been to a Drive-In Movie but oh boy, how I remember that film. Stayed with me for ages. Maureen
  13. Excellent, colourful images, Bert. Must have been a very interesting trip. Maureen
  14. Thanks, everyone, for your comments and to Igor for picking up on and fixing the problem. Maureen
