P2E9 Deluxe sound no picture

Recommended Posts

Since upgrading to version 9.0.16 Deluxe I cannot play exe files. I get sound but no picture and the screen freezes "Not responding".

The project plays within the program but not if I publish it.

Barry,

Does this problem occur with all projects (EXE files) which you create in PicturesToExe 9.0.16?

Try to create a new simple slideshow: 3-5 images (1920 x 1080) and one MP3 audio. Will it work?

The problem which you described can be caused by several reasons:

1. Incorrect work of drivers of a video card. Solution: update manually drivers of a video card.

2. Incorrect work of antivirus software (false positive). Solution: try to disable antivirus to check if it helps.

3.  Use of several "heavy" images on one slide with ultra high resolution. Try to reduce pixel size of images.

I have a Dell desktop XPS 8500 running Windows 7 Professional 64

RAM 8GB

AMD Radeon HD7700 series

Attached is Small P2E Test.exe which runs within P2E9DeLuxe but if published I can hear only sound but see no image.
To stop it I have to use Ctrl-Alt-Del where it shows as Not Responding.

Your help is very much appreciated because it's driving me mad.

I think it's the graphics software.

Hello Igor, Hello Barry,

I just have read this topic and don't know if this is of any help, but I also have a AMD video card in my pc:

AMD Radeon R9 200/HD 7900 Series     3072 Mb memory     Software version 18.2.1

I tried the 8 test shows of Igor and all played well without any problem.

Just for your information.

Greetings,

Cor

Hello Igor,

I tried P2E 8 with the same result, so the fault is elsewhewre.

I saved a project as .avi and it played perfectly.

So, the problem looks like Windows (I use 7 Professional 64).

Searching online I find this is common, so I'll have to use .avi files.

Barry,

What antivirus software you use on this computer?

Try to disable it, just to check a work of EXE slideshows.

2. Press Win + R hotkey and type "dxdiag" then press Enter key.

Click Save button and send me the exported file. It will contain a technical information about drivers and hardware of your computer (no personal information). Send me a link to the file in a personal message.
