Firstly, did you mean a DVD?

Possibly, if the author used Videobuilder, the wrong choices were made for playing in the USA, or maybe the author did not intend that the disc find its way to the USA.

A far better solution is to make an MP4 and write it as data to a CD/DVD. Alternatively the author could upload to YouTube or Vimeo for instant viewing. MP4 files have no international boundaries whereas a DVD does.

When you choose the option to Publish Show and then opt to make a DVD, the Video Builder program starts to run.

If you then select Project Options before you burn the DVD, you are able to set the TV System. It was probably set to PAL, which is the UK setting.

It needs to be set to NTSC for the US.

Usually hardware DVD players manufactured at the end of golden age of DVD era can play DVDs recorded in PAL or NTSC standards.  Probably first DVD players is locked to a national standard of a certain region.

VideoBuilder in PTE automatically detects correct national DVD standard for your country and offer NTSC or PAL.

We also recommend to create MP4 video for best picture quality.
